nextbike test winner according to the German Consumers Association

Stiftung Warentest (German Consumers' Association) has tested six bikesharing providers in Germany. Four suppliers received the quality "unsatisfactory", only two providers received the quality "good". nextbike received the best score with 1.9 and are therefore the test winner!

The six tested systems are from Byke, Call a Bike, Limebike, Donkey Republic, Mobike and Nextbike. According to the testers, only two of the six providers offer bikes that are technically acceptable: nextbike and Call a Bike.

In addition to the quality of the bicycle, Stiftung investigated how the providers handle the data and found that most apps also send data that is not required for use, such as the phone's ID, or the mobile phone provider. Here, too, nextbike and Call a Bike scored better than the rest.
